Welcome to the Quest Bar Review. During my fitness journey I have tried a variety of protein bars. When you are trying to eat right and track your nutrition correctly, good snacks are a MUST throughout the day.
But some of these protein bars ended up being a glorified candy bar. Not really good for me, and even harmful to my fat loss journey!! So today, I’m discussing my Quest Bar Review to determine if this is worth the money.
I don’t really mean to call out other protein bars as bad, but this is just my personal review. If you find something that you like that works for you, great! My only concern with a few of the protein bars in the past where that they included things like:
- High Sugar (some had up to 20g in one bar!)
- Too high of a carbohydrate count compared to fiber (hello fat storage 101!)
- Questionable ingredients (hydrochloride, artificial sweeteners, etc).
So how does my Quest Bar review stack up to these concerns? That is what I will get to next:
Quest Bar Review on Taste and Quality
When it comes down to having a quality amount of protein that will support your workouts, both the quality and taste are something that I look for in the protein bar.
In the below video I give my full review on the Quest Bar and if it’s worth the money versus a cheaper alternative. Also, below the video you can see some other good points on the flavors and their nutrition facts.
Are Quest Bars Healthy – Quest Bar Review
In a world where bad ingredients are hidden under “code names” to make us out to be fools, I had to make sure Quest wasn’t doing the same with their protein bars. It’s almost like the horrible ingredient “Aspartame” that allows companies to say they are “sugar-free”. No good folks!
Luckily however, Quest does NOT have anything too insane in their nutrition labels. Below is an example of the Cookies & Cream Quest Bar label. If you want to see ALL of the nutrition labels for the different Quest Bars, VISIT the Quest website for more details.
While there are a few ingredients as they mention “contains less than 2% of the following”, for the purpose of this Quest Bar Review, I’d say that that is nothing, especially compared to other alternatives. In fact, I have recently replaced my protein bars that I originally reviewed in my P90X3 Supplements post with Quest Bar. Less sugars, no sugar alcohols, and a great taste over-rules the other options I had in the past.
So, Coach Bob, do you recommend Quest Bar? I wouldn’t recommend it if I didn’t eat them daily! So YES, I do recommend these bars. I would say that Cookies & Cream is my favorite bar, followed by Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. On the Quest website, they have an option to buy a variety pack so you can try all of their current flavors and decide which one you like best (alternatively, they do offer single bars for around $3/bar to try).
FREE SHIPPING – I don’t guarantee this will work forever, but upon checkout when you click the link below, use coupon code: “OnAQuest” for FREE Standard Shipping. I have actually found that doing this saves me money versus actually going to a place like GNC and paying the retail mark-up profit ($25/box vs around $35/box at GNC!).

Bob, i absolutely crave those bars nowadays. Specially the cookie dough which you also mentioned. They taste even better if you put them in the microwave for like 30 seconds. They become soft and i usually poor a bit of cinnamon on them and serve with a cut in a half banana.
In terms of buying them cheap, i tried GNC like you and they do offer some coupons once in a while which will allow you to get them for like 20 dollars per package. They are rear though.
