I am a 53 yo male 5′ 10 230 lbs. I have always lived a sedentary lifestyle and despite being overweight have never had any serious health concerns – until recently. Now over the last year or so I have some issues cropping. Not serious yet but I want to start getting in better shape before it is too late. I have decided after listening to your video that Focus T25 could be a possible way to go for me. Great video by the way. My concern is that at my age and given my sedentary lifestyle that I may not be able to handle such an intense work out. My other question is that you mentioned that you offer free coaching and have motivational groups that could be joined. Could you explain how this coaching and group works as I would be interested to join if at all possible Thanks and again great video.

Right on! I’m to the point where i just pop in whatever workout video i feel for the day. I don’t like doing the same stuff over and over but some exercise each day is what’s important to me right now. Groups like this really help. Good luck to you guys with the remainder of the pregnancy!

Thanks so much Denise! And you are absolutely right – I find myself making up hybrids of different workouts so that I keep having fun and don’t get bored to a point where I’ll find myself skipping a ton of workouts and what not.

I’ve tried doing some other beach body programs and didn’t have a coach and wasn’t able to finish them. I’m not really sure how the whole coach thing works and was wondering if you could be mine? I came across your videos on YouTube when researching P90X3 and Shakeology – I would love to talk to you about meal plans for picky eaters. I know with a lot of heart and determination I can nail the physical aspects of P90X3 however my biggest struggle is meal prep and food eating in general. I am such a picky eater that I know this area I will need extreme help in. I have roughly 2-4 months to get in shape for a Police Physical Exam. I am in dire need of help and guidance. Good morning Bob,
My name is Joel and I just watched your YouTube video about the struggle and achieving at p90x.
My struggle is a combination of afraid of failing, because of a lack of time devoted to all of the details of the program and the conflicts of my schedule. My schedule is a bit complicated. I have two full-time jobs in healthcare that I really enjoy and love that doesn’t leave much time for anything other than being comfortable (4 days/work week and weekends – 4/10s & 3/12s). I need to find my way out of the comfort zone.
I believe I have the ability to one day complete a round of p90x (prior military training), but somewhere over the years I have lost my confidence in completing anything I start.
Do you have any suggestions.

Joe145robinson Thanks for stopping by! I’m always here to help and totally get where you are coming from. I have to say, great job rocking two full-time jobs being able to take care of yourself and family….I appreciate that.
As far as timing, I will admit that is my issue sometimes too. I have one heavy Full Time Job with hours that can range from 50-100 hours per week!
What I have found is that while P90X is amazing, it was killing me (especially 90 minute yoga). Shortly after I made the P90X video, we had the option come out with P90X3 (same deal, but 30 minutes per day vs 60-90 mins). They also just released INSANITY Max 30, which is the 30 minute edition of INSANITY.
Both of these have helped me BIG time. Not so much in getting “faster” results, but being able to STICK with the darn thing all 60-90 days. Not only that, I felt that because I was able to commit each day, and I knew it was only 30 minutes, I felt myself pushing harder, which of course I believe helps in getting results.
By no means am I saying that you have to go out and get these programs, but in relating it to my struggle of time, this is what helped me quite a bit in balancing it out. I did P90X3 first and then INSANITY Max 30. I was actually pretty impressed with my INSANITY results in all honesty (check out the details here: http://sweetlifefitness.net/insanity-max-30-review/)

What fitness program would you recommend for beginners who don’t have a lot of time during the day, don’t like to work out (but have to due to high cholesterol and overweight), and also need an easy and effective nutrition plan? Thanks!
