P90X3 Day 7 Dynamix

P90X3 Day 7 DynamixToday was the last day of week 1! P90X3 Day 7 Dynamix is now in the books. According to the P90X3 Schedule, this day can either be REST or Dynamix. I made a commitment to myself that I’m doing all 7 days for the next 90 days. No excuses!

Unlike the P90X X Stretch, Dynamix is a different type of ball game. Quite honestly, when I was on my P90X Journey I used Day 7 as a rest day all of the time. I didn’t really care about X Stretch and didn’t think I needed X Stretch.

But as I mentioned, Dynamix is different. In fact, I can’t wait to do it again. Unlike X Stretch, Dynamix focuses on your overall muscle flexibility and foundation (almost like X3 Yoga does).

P90X3 Day 7 Dynamix – My Thoughts and Review

The very first few moves in Dynamix is on your side (right and then left). This one challenged me because I need to continue my focus on building my obliques (those “side abs”).

Believe it or not, I started breaking a sweat during Dynamix! I don’t think I ever did that with P90X X Stretch. Although I was a bit sore, I was surprised how intense this lower-end, lower-impact workout pushes you. Sure, there are no “hardcore” cardio or weight moves, but the flexibility, core work, and stretching pushes you past your limits.

The Side Banana Move

Another great move that some P90Xers might remember is the Side Banana & Superman. Yes, on a “rest day” workout, you’re doing things like Superman and Side Banana! These moves work your core like a champ. And then….another move visits you in Dynamix:

The Fifer Scissor Stretch!

Ahhhh! Yes, it is back to burn up those lower abs and make you look like a champion. Instead of fast movements like you see in P90X Ab Ripper workouts, you take this one slow. I liked it, even though it challenged me, because it helped me focus on what muscles in my lower abs were activated.

    I am a 48 year young female and just started my 90 day journey with P90X3 yesterday and I’m loving it so far. My goal is to drop a few pounds but mostly get ripped and look great in a bikini..ha ha!  I was a bit scared to try Agility this morning but after I was finished, I thought it was so much fun and different.  Looking forward to the next 88 days!

    @mstuder Woohoo amazing and great job on Day 1!! I had the same thought during Agility X and ended up really liking that workout a lot!

    I am a 47 year old male teacher and high school basketball coach, today is day 89 and i have dynamix, can’t believe i made it! I did p90x 5 years ago at 42, and at 47 I am ready to complete X3…tomorrow final fit test and photo shoot…and I did the whole program in 91 days! I used your website regularly to preview my workouts..it was very informative…keep up the good work
