Something happened during my first week of INSANITY Max 30 that made me hit the floor (and no, it wasn’t after “Sweat Intervals” or “Friday Fight”). I’ll be sharing that plus more in my INSANITY Max 30 Week 1 Review today! Also, see my final INSANITY Max 30 Results too.
INSANITY Max 30 Week 1 Review – I did NOT expect this to happen…
During my P90X3 Week 1 Review, Body Beast Week 1 Review, and other past fitness journey efforts, I often had marginal results or a bit of temporary water weight gain (cortisol).
But with INSANITY Max 30 Week 1, GREAT and unexpected results happened. The fact that these results happened in just 1 week boosts my confidence that INSANITY Max 30 will be the program of pure success. Here are my results from Week 1 of Max 30:
Down 8 pounds, and best part is – the BODY FAT is going down. After adding muscles with Body Beast, what I do NOT want to happen is muscle to break down and leave me back to a skinny frame. Luckily this is working the way it should.
If you completed Week 1 of INSANITY Max 30 and didn’t get good results, do NOT worry, tips are listed below! Check out my video for more on INSANITY Max 30 Week 1 Review:

INSANITY Max 30 Week 1 Review – Tips to ROCK the Program
As I mentioned in the prior section, I was NOT expecting the results I got out of Week 1 of INSANITY Max 30.
But after taking the time to think about what I did different, it makes sense why certain things happened.
Beyond the numbers above, my abs are becoming visible once again, and my ENERGY is up. Win Win Win!
I want the very same thing for you. So here are THREE Tips you can use to make sure you are completely ROCKING INSANITY Max 30. These are tips based on my experience with Week 1 and also what I’ve learned from my fitness journey since I started with P90X.
TIP #1 – MINDSET with the “Max Out” Time
I truly believe what makes INSANITY Max 30 so effective is the concept of “Maxing out”. In case you are still doing research and haven’t started the program yet: what you do is complete the workout at a fair and consistent speed (full out or modifying) until you have to pause in the middle of a move or push the pause button (water breaks do NOT count).
This is then your “Max out” time. You then continue on with the program when you catch your breath. In the following week, you try to meet or exceed your Max Out time from the prior week.
The MINDSET of this “Max Out” time pushes us to improve our endurance and focus.
I have been a victim of stopping moves early to get up and prepare for the next move (P90X3, Body Beast, and T25 I did this a lot). I also had the mindset that I can stop early since I “feel” like I’m rocking the program. Max 30 doesn’t allow such shenanigans. Go until you drop. Push hard and don’t stop. PERIOD!

TIP #2 – NUTRITION GUIDE – Ignore it and Remain Disappointed…
I can’t tell you how many times I tried to alter and jack with the nutrition guides in the past. Didn’t work for me. Lesson learned. Time to get my act together.
With this nutrition guide, you focus on PORTION control. I like the split of Veggies, Fruits, Proteins, Carbs, and Healthy Fats. It is almost like Macronutrient eating but with a bit more focus.
In the past, for my Carbs I used to fill it all up with fruit and oatmeal. Total ignorance of veggies. As for Healthy Fats, I went too crazy on Almonds and Peanuts.
Check out more tips to succeed with the nutrition guide on my page (coming soon).
TIP #3 – Don’t Cheat or Go Astray
Ok I get it – this is just INSANITY Max 30 Week 1. But soon it’s “quitting time”
What is “Quitting time?”
Around Day 15-30, the excitement of the new program wears off. You are sick of pushing play and cursing at Shaun T. You can’t wait to just move on with Month 2. Heck, you may even decide to skip a workout or two because of other competing priorities.
Don’t do it.
Know that this is natural to have a buzz kill after the first week or two of any fitness program. But by all means push play every day. Remind yourself of how you want to feel, how you want to look, and how INSANITY Max 30 will get you there.
Commit to 60 days of daily MAX OUT, and 60 days of pure clean eating and nutrition guide bliss. Trust me, it’s worth it! If you need extra accountability, Join our Sweet Life Community Free or get Max 30 today.
INSANITY Max 30 Meal Plan – Week 1 Review
The INSANITY Max 30 Meal Plan is incredible! I attribute that to both the energy and the results that I have experience in just the first week.
The nutrition guide focuses on Macros of 30% protein / 40% carbs / 30% fats. This provides enough sustained energy while balance protein to burn down body fat as you MAX OUT.
Some people think that the portion controlled containers that come with the INSANITY Max 30 Deluxe kit are small. To that I say: SIZE can be deceiving. See what 1 Green, 1 Red, and 1 Yellow Container looks like on the plate:
This contains:
- 4 oz Grilled Chicken (Red Container)
- Peas & Brown Rice (2 Yellow Containers)
- Tomatoes & Carrots (1 Green Container).
I can’t wait to continue to rock out with INSANITY Max 30! Thanks for reading my INSANITY Max 30 Week 1 Review. Comment below and let me know how you liked week 1 and what questions you have.
