P90 Program is the New Power 90 – Get the 5 Tips

September 11, 2014 By Coach Bob

P90 ProgramI am very excited about the P90 Program and the incredible results it has produced for our fitness community (see P90 Workout Review). For those who have followed me with P90X3, or have heard of the workout programs such as P90X, P90X2, or P90X3, but never felt they were quite ready for the program now have an amazing solution!

P90 Program is the new revolutionized Power 90. Think of this as the onset to fitness, the “prequel” to P90X, or the go-to program for anyone young, old, large, or small. Below you can learn more about the program.

P90 Program – 5 Tips to Know

Check out this quick video first on the P90 Program along with the 5 things to know below.

What is P90 Program and who is it for?

P90 is what they call the on-set to fitness. If you haven’t worked out in a very long time, or are looking to maintain what you already achieved, P90 program can be a great option for you. P90 is hosted by the same trainer who brought you P90X, Tony Horton.

P90 vs P90X – What is the Big Difference?

P90X and P90X3 are extreme fitness programs ranging from 30-90 minutes per day. Simply put, P90 is a great starting point, and then when you are ready to go extreme, you can add the “X”!

How long are the P90 Program Workouts?

While the entire program is 90 days in length, working out for 6 days per week, the daily commitment is only 25-45 minutes per day.

What type of equipment do I need for P90?

Luckily not much! Here are the absolute basics:

  • Resistance Bands (I would get varying resistance bands, which you can see the different weights associated with each on the check-out screen. A good target is 5, 10, 15, 25).
  • Yoga Mat

What type of Food should I Eat with the P90 Program?

As I recommended throughout all of the different programs, use MyFitnessPal to track your calories and macros. This is the key to success with any program and it’s a FREE resource, so don’t turn it down!

We will be sharing recipes and nutrition tips all for free in our upcoming Challenge Groups. You can get in on these for free once you purchase the program or join the team for free.

Paul. is there a way to calculate the calories burned during a p90 workout?   Like a calculator?

GregVioletteSr the best way is to have a heart rate monitor (either something like Polar or FitBit, which is what I use: (http://sweetlifefitness.net/fitbit-charge-hr-review/).

Otherwise you can get a rough ballpark estimate doing a google search, but again that isn’t really accurate because of all of the heart rate factors based on each of us as individuals, but it at least can give you a range.
